Job Title: Account Manager

Location: Bath

Salary: £20,000

Job Description:

An Account Manager is responsible for selling across the full range of list and insert programmes in the portfolio. Specifically they will have responsibility for business development across key buying clients and selected list/insert owners. This requires a comprehensive knowledge of all managed programmes, a detailed understanding of internal sales procedures plus proven client development and negotiation skills. It will require an ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally. They should be expected to have strong client and buyer relationships and attend regular client and buyer meetings.

Key responsibilities include:

. Help with the preparation and presentation of new pitch proposals

. Development and implementation of sales strategies for existing buyer development

. Monitor buyer profitability and regularly report to the Sales Manager

. Identify new sales opportunities outside existing buyers, both direct and agency, and generate new sales

. Monitor sales performance against budget and preparing management reports for allocated list/insert owners

. Develop relationships with all list/insert owners and with key buying contacts

. Assist with developing annual and tactical marketing plans to promote the programmes as allocated by the Sales Manager

. Help with training Trainee Account Managers in order to allow their sales skills to be developed

. Take full responsibility for all relevant sales administration

. To attend and lead regular client/buyer meetings

. To obtain a sound understanding of other areas of the company­ vital to attend all internal workshops

. To provide the standard of service to buyers and clients that continually meets and exceeds their expectations

. To recognise and act upon new business opportunities both within the Sales department as well as across the company

. To have the knowledge to help with the forecasting of annual business targets by client and monitor the levels of revenue being generated for the company on an ongoing basis
